Energising women's development
Today marks International Women’s Day (8th March) and, at Renewable World, we are particularly aware of the link between energy and the development of women. Lack of access to energy affects all members of a community, but women are disproportionately affected due to cultural norms in many societies which result in differentiated responsibilities between men and women when it comes to collection and use of energy sources.
Renewable World to judge Renewable Energy Industry CSR Award
The inaugural RenewableUK Energy Awards are set to take place on 27th June this year at the prestigious Intercontinental London Park Lane. The awards are aimed at recognising, celebrating and rewarding achievement and excellence in the sector and will be a social highlight of the industry calendar. Over 500 people from the renewable energy sector will attend including business professionals, key stakeholders, politicians and more.
UN Human Development Report calls for Sustainable Energy for All
The annual United Nations Human Development Report which was released today (Wed 2nd Nov) calls for universal access to sustainable energy – a vision which is shared by Renewable World and is at the heart of everything we do.
