Launch of 2012: UN Year of Sustainable Energy for All

UN Secretary General Ban-Ki Moon launched the 2012 UN Year of Sustainable Energy for All at the World Future Energy Summit (WFES2012) on 16th January in Abu Dhabi. In his key note address, Ban-Ki Moon called on governments, the private sector and civil society to make significant commitments to make the goal of universal energy access for all a reality by 2030. Renewable World has been asked to participate in the high level energy practitioner network which will mobilise action on committments that will help drive change on the ground.

Renewable World CEO Neil Jeffery has been asked to participate as an online expert in the Economist's live debate on global energy which takes place online on 18th November at 2:30pm GMT. UN Human Development Report Calls for Sustainable Energy for All

The annual United Nations Human Development Report which was released today (Wed 2nd Nov) entitled: Sustainability and Equity: A Better Future for All, calls for universal access to sustainable energy – a vision which is shared by Renewable World and is at the heart of everything we do.
